On 1–4 December 2019, the Moscow Pedagogical State University (MSPU) held the 11th International Seminar of the Cycle “Dialogue of Civilizations and Cross-Cultural Cooperation” as part of the activities marking the UN International Year of Indigenous Languages.
This year the Seminar’s topic is “Multilingualism as a factor to maintain the ethno-cultural diversity: educational strategies”.
Participants: senior management and specialists – representatives of educational institutions for primary and secondary education, vocational, higher and further education from Russia and other countries as well as international expert and academic communities. Staff of the UNESCO Chair took part in the Seminar - Head of the Chair - Solodovnik D.M. and Senior Lecturer - Lozinsky N.N., Assistant professor Parkhimovich V.L.
The Seminar is supported by the Secretariat of the Commission of the Russian Federation for UNESCO, the Eurasian Association of Pedagogical Universities, the International Pedagogical Society in Support of the Russian Language, Council for Nationalities under the Moscow Government, the Commission on Development of Science and Education of the Civic Chamber of the Russian Federation, the All-Russian Education Trade Union, and in collaboration with the Coordination Committee of UNESCO Chairs in the Russian Federation, the UNESCO Institute for Information Technologies in Education (IITE), the International Federation for Peace and Conciliation, UNITWIN/UNESCO Chairs Network, and the UNESCO Associated Schools.
Goal: sharing best practices and hands-on experience by the representatives of educational institutions, scholars, experts, specialists of public, national cultural societies with a strong focus on multilingualism support by means of education and awareness-raising.
